(2.5 round up)

I was fighting for my life in the first 150 pages. If this wasn't for my book club I might have given up. But I glad I persevered because it did get better in the second half. The book has really stellar peripheral characters esp. the relationship between the three women which was so sweet and I honestly preffered that to her romance with Wyndham. Also, what in the hell kind of name is Wyndham??? Ms Henry (and other romance authors) please I'm begging you, free yourself from the shackles of third act conflicts. It makes the endings clunky and overly saccharrine.

The best part this book is that I once again realized that contemporary romances are not for me (there are exceptions though). Im definitely a literary and speculative fiction girly. Either way Emily Henry really is  fantastic writer and there some really sweet moments that had me kicking my feet and giggling.
