In the Gray

I have a million thoughts after reading this book and I don’t know where to start. I’ll start off by saying that the story was engaging and easy to follow along with so I’d consider reading another book by this author.
With that being said… wtf?? This book was a roller coaster and unfortunately for me, not a good one. I simply did not like either of the main characters. The way they were introduced was sooo creepy and his comment about her looking no older than 16 but still wanting to have sex with her right then in a dark alley was insane. And then her comment about actually being 14 when she’s actually 19 and he was still really into it no matter what??? Weird. It just put a bad taste in my mouth but I know that age gap relationships aren’t uncommon in romance books. Looking back that behavior seems so out of character for Rowdy and if he was introduced differently I might have ended up liking him more. But I couldn’t get over the first impression. Also the way they’d refer to Atlas as a “teen” was so odd.
I also feel like his back story didn’t make that much sense compared to his personality. Yeah he had a rough past with his parents but they seemed to be relatively supportive of him. So why was he so cold and hard???
Now- time for that plot twist… what the actual fuck? I’m still baffled that they had a whole in depth spicy scene (including a golden shower
