Expecting...and In Danger by Eileen Wilks

5.0

True to its name, the book starts with a five-month pregnant Charlotte Masters involved in a mini accident. Was it her paranoia talking or was it a deliberate hit and run? Why was somebody after her? Who is this Brad she's protecting?

In comes Rafe Connelly, the baby daddy. She didn't tell him about the baby, but he knows. He is there to protect her from the threat she's facing. A tech whiz, he was trying to undo the damage to the Connellys computers caused by, who else, but Charlotte. Was she an accessory to the crime? If not, what is she hiding?

This book just dove into the story, which I loved. Driving with her to his apartment, Rafe proposes marriage, which Charlie declines (how she hated that nickname), obviously. Charlie was spitfire to Rafe's seductive temperament. Their chemistry is off the charts. And the story is laced with humour, as well as danger.

I loved Grant and Emma Connelly, Rafe's parents, they are such sweethearts. And Dix is the best friend to have. And the birthday present that Charlie got Rafe was adorable.

The story ended perfectly with a breathtaking, and rather unusual wedding ceremony.
