Every Body Looking by Candice Iloh

This book brought me to tears because the main character Ada reminded me of myself when I was growing up. Not wanting attention from anyone or anything. But most importantly she reminded me of myself because I’m high school and even in college I didn’t know who I was or who I was going to be. To be completely honest I went to college to make my parents happy regardless if I was happy or not. Ada is a young woman who is trying to find herself and while in the process of finding herself she makes decisions on putting attention to herself from a boy on the college basketball team because she thought that she had felt
Love when really he was not treating her right. And so she met a girl named Kendra who was dancing in the studio and ever since that day all that Ada wants to do is dance and not attend her accounting classes because she could care less and dancing made her feel alive. Now I have to say when she was a young girl something happened to her that no one knew about not even her father. Also her mother was in and out of her life and Ada never understood why she was never present or why should would only pop up in Ada’s life because it was convenient for her or benefited her. This book is awesome all together and I can not wait for the next one.
