I enjoyed this a bit more than Henry's previous book, Beach Read. I really connected with the relationship of the two characters and this complicated bond they shared. It was done with a lot of accuracy and was very relatable. The shifting timeline from present day to a series of past vacations worked well and kept the story balanced, as well as helped me invest more in the couple that occurred in the previous novel. Since this does pay homage to rom-coms, there were times it was a bit too cheesy but the angst was well portrayed  and overall the balance was decent. Definitely a book I could see myself revisiting and super easy to read thanks to the writing style.
