Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid
4.0

"Daisy Jones and The Six" is the story of a fictional band told through different points of view. It reads like a "Behind the Music" documentary and is a very unique way of story telling. I was convinced in the beginning that Daisy Jones and The Six were actual artists in the 70s that I had never heard of...that is how convincing the writing is. I loved this book! I found myself sobbing at the end because of all the emotions I felt while reading it. I dog eared 12 pages of passages that I ferociously underlined because of how they spoke to me. I think anyone can enjoy this book. Yes, it's about music, but it's also about the human connection and unrequited love. I got this book through Book of The Month Club as an add on. I saw all the hype for it on bookstagram and was excited to get it. I have to admit, the beginning was a little slow and I thought, "okay...what is the big deal surrounding this book?" But then it really picks up and it's beautiful. I got a lot of Fleetwood Mac vibes with all the drama going on in one band. I believe it is going to be a miniseries produced by Reese Witherspoon, which is very exciting. Anything produced by her is golden and this book is set up perfectly for a mini series. The end of the book ties it together with a perfect bow.
