I love the podcast. The climax at the end of the second season was superb. Cecil is an amazing narrator and manages to make even the most mundane things seem interesting.
This book, however, had problems. I DNFd it around 40%, I think. The plot moved slow and the slow ramblings about things in Night Vale just didn't work. The podcast comes in twenty minute chunks, and Cecil's narration manages to make them interesting. This book was written like it should have been read by Cecil, but it wasn't, and that was detrimental to it, in my opinion.
Just listen to the podcast, instead.
