Radiance by Grace Draven
2.0

I've bought two Grace Draven's books to support the author in her time of need, found out about her situation from Ilona Andrews blog. While I might have harsh words of critique about a specific book I do, wholeheartedly, support writers. They are our best friends, shoulders to cry on and adventure buddies whenever we need or want their company :-).

One of the main reasons why I don't like romance as a genre is that I find it two dimensional nearly all the time. The plot is predictable, the characters are either SOOOO GOOD or terribly bad. Everything is black and white, there is no depth, no evolution of any kind really. It leaves me tired and bored and completely cold.

Yes, the sex was steamy but that's practically the only good thing I have to say about the book. I'd just go ahead and assume that love is something I need to feel and not read about and give up on the genre were it not for the rare instance of finding a romance book I enjoy. Also I do enjoy romance in books of other genres. I don't know, maybe it's me but this book fell incredibly flat in my opinion.
