Picture Me Gone by Meg Rosoff

2.0

This book was just OK to me.
I almost put it down. But, decided to see what happened to Mattew.
Mila and her father Gil travel from London to NY to visit Gil's old friend Matthew.
At least that was the original plan. Then Matthew disappears and Gil and Mila's trip turn into a search party.
A dog, a secret son, and a few hotel stays later we find Matthew.
Mila is very intelligent and wise beyond her years. She is also annoying towards the end.
She didn't really talk about how she felt until the end. When she was angry.
Gil translated books for a living. In the beginning I thought this book was translated from another language.
I felt absolutely nothing while reading it.
I tolerated it until the end.
