Ugh maybe it's just because I've been on a streak of less than impressive books but ugh. This book built to a big pile of nothing, there were too many characters that I couldn't keep straight and a bunch of convoluted storylines. There's no real mystery here, just kind of a shrug. The only thing that felt remotely real about this story was the name of the podcast network. I can absolutely believe there's a podcast network called dishlicker somewhere. Everything else was unbelievable, undeserved, or unearned. Skip this.

As for that ending
how was it supposed to be a TWIST that he was using this podcast device as a way to leverage a business? Why was that a gotcha? Literally anyone could have said "wow he pulled some weird publicity stunt guess this podcast was just to hype his company" how is Jessica some kind of hero for that? Also that totally unnecessary scene with the dog! Great, just what I needed, a killing puppy scene.
