The Wisdom of Your Body: Finding Healing, Wholeness, and Connection Through Embodied Living by Hillary L. McBride

3.0

There were some good nuggets but ultimately I found this book to be just okay. It did provide some helpful prompting for evaluating how we speak to our bodies and offered gracious ways to reframe this relationship for the better. However many of the concepts in this book I feel I’ve been exposed to repeatedly if not through the mental health world than through political dialogue. I’m not going to lie, some parts of the book just seemed so saturated in political nomenclature that it almost felt ingenuine/superficial. I could see where some would really like this book and others not so much. However if im going to recommend a book on the mind + body relationship it would not be this one.
