Bitter Root, Vol. 1: Family Business by Chuck Brown, David F. Walker

3.0

I have mixed feelings about this.
the premise is what made me check it out: hate (racism) is a poison turning people into demons- the main family uses old fashion fighting and potions to stop it. The art style is dynamic, busy, full.

But this falls into the category of comics (with Saga and On a Sunbeam) that don't quite do it for me narratively. I'm glad this exists in the world but it might not be my aesthetic cup of tea? I have volumes 2 and 3 checked out, but unsure if I'm going to continue.
