I learned so much from this memoir. It is fascinating how different a woman’s life can be while also being in many ways the same. I have never woven a carpet, yet I have experienced patriarchal ideas. I don’t live somewhere bombs regularly explode, yet I have faced ableism. The author does a great job weaving together all these women’s stories with her own. Definitely a worthwhile read
