This book made me ponder the hardships blind people endure.
And not just the limitations on themselves, but the way people around them treat them differently.
(Just because a person is blind doesn't mean they're any less human, or worse, to be treated like helpless children people!)

The MC's character's POV was very frank, very annoyed and VERY sarcastic at times. It was great!
Helen was a character I enjoyed reading. I enjoyed hearing about her story and seeing her difficulties living in isolation from other people.

What happened to her in the beginning of the book was a slap in the face, I can't describe it any other way. What that guy did to her is unforgivable, and I hope Helen will eventually get over it (the two doctors seem to help, love those two goofs).
I really hope she ends up with her doc, cause their bantering is the cutest thing :D

Of course the one guy she never wants to see again (AKA the guy from the beginning) ends up being the one her sister is going to marry... Deep sigh...
From the moment I saw the groom-to-be's name, I suspected that he'd be trouble.
I just hope Helen gets to confront him, and won't shrink away from social contact again. Because it would be a damn shame...

I really want to know what happens next because the... urgh.... cliffhanger (I want more dammit!) really left me hanging.

So off to hunt down the second book!
Over and out!
