Powerless by Elsie Silver

4.0

Sloane has loved hot super hockey player Jasper ever since she was a young girl. She visited her cousin's farm and saw Jasper for the first time. Only he never knew. She also didn't know that Jasper felt the same way. Their relationship developed into best friends forever. That is what they were to each other.
Then Sloane finds herself being busted out of her own wedding by Jasper. She leaves her to be husband because he isn't the one for her. Who is on hand to help her bust out. You've got it Jasper.
The trope in this book is mainly friends2lovers and it is definitely cute.
A quick read even though it is over 400 pages. I enjoyed every page of the book.
It gives you everything you expect from a friends to loves trope, romance, excitement and if spice and steam is you're thing in a book. Well then you're onto a winner.
What I loved about this book:
The pace
The easy reading
The actual story
The emotional range
The intensity of emotions

What I didn't like about this book: nothing
I highly recommend not just this book but the author.
IT is my first Elise Silver book and now I have books #1, 3 and 4 lined up for the Chestnut Farm series.
