Alexander, Who's Not (Do You Hear Me? I Mean It]) Going to Move by Judith Viorst

3.0

I have loved Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day ever since I was a small child, and I have meant to read the other two Alexander books for a very long time, but could never seem to locate a copy. Well, I finally did. I'm not sorry I did; it's still Alexander, who's still being cutely grumpy. I didn't love it as much as Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day, but it was humorous, and actually perhaps teaches more lessons than Day, about friendship and memories and change and adjustment and family and related things. I think that this would be a good book for a child who is facing a family move, especially a dramatic/ long distance one. It's fun to read, but could also spur conversation on the topic. Definitely worth sharing with kids in your life.
