A super fun queer historical fiction set in the world of magical England at the turn of the 20th century. Robin has taken what seems to be a dead-end job in the British government when he quickly discovers through a paperwork error he’s now the liaison to Britain’s secret magical world. He and his counterpart Gideon are thrust into a series of mysterious events as they try to discover what happened to his predecessor. It started a little slow while the world is being built, but I REALLY enjoyed it. It’s sexy, interesting, snobby in the best ways, and I’m excited there is another book set in this world to come.
