This was not at all what I expected it to be.
I have been torn asunder, ripped apart at the seams, and put back together an entirely new person.
This book was healing. It was breaking, ripping, ruination, but it was hope, love, and most importantly, healing.
I did not know how much I needed this book until I read it. I did not expect this from SJM, and I am honestly so elated that this is the direction she is choosing to go with her writing. That this is how she chose to present Nesta's story to us. Because while yes, it was the smuttiest thing I'd ever read by her, it was also the most beautiful and wonderful thing I've ever read too.
We needed this book, we needed this story, just as much as SJM needed to tell Nesta's story. We needed the healing just as much as Nesta did.
So thank you, Sarah, for giving us that.
