Little Beach Street Bakery by Jenny Colgan
5.0

This was my first ever Jenny Colgan book. I loved it. It's still one of my favorite books from her.

Its a light read where the characters are NOT perfect. They make mistakes. They make bad or poor decisions. But not earth shattering consequential decisions. And descriptions of the characters are not always flattering. But that's life...and I like to see real stuff in books. Because not everything is perfect. These books can be relatable.

There are times, that I enjoy "perfect" books. But that is not life. If everything is "perfect" than you also haven't REALLY failed. It's hard to succeed if you have never really failed at some stuff. You just live happily in that middle ground, but never fully. This book hits on that really well.

The main character; she has her not-so-great moments and then those accomplishments that you can root for.

Overall a lovely little story that you can relate to.
