i ended up loving this book even though it was tricky to get into at first! definitely easier to read this book in multiple long sittings than picking it up and putting it down a lot. this is a book that requires your full attention and i often reread passages to get the full meaning. i loved the creativity and unexpected aspects that occur within the last 100 pages. the back and forth between red and blue and the yearning was so tender :’) at some points it did get a bit predictable, but since the book was so short it was only mild.
Graphic: Death
Moderate: War, Injury/Injury detail
