I didn't expect this to be as dark as it was, which was good for me. The cover looks really cute and lighthearted, but DAMN this got dark and even had some horror vibes to it.
This book was really great for the first 80% of it and I loved everything until the climax. I felt like the fumbled so hard here. The climax was
muddy and confusing. Plus, the book keeps telling you and insisting its super dangerous, but I didn't feel it. The danger that you'd get buried under stuff basically. It felt melodramatic. I mean, there's even a scene where Harriet does get buried in the house and it's treated like no big deal.

Then also at the end, it's revealed that
Ev killed her dad.... with a stick. WITH A STICK. WAT. That seemed so dumb to me.
