Don Mee Choi's DMZ Colony  is a highly-artistic collection of scenes from the Korean War.  Memories of a forgotten time are preserved, atrocities are recounted, and the art of translation is examined.  This book is a beautiful piece of art, and although some of it went over my head as I read it, the notes at the end helped me to realize the poet's vision.  A well-deserved National Book Award-winner.
