Truthfully, the primary point of this book was a treasure hunt that I found to be ridiculous. The giant secret that everyone is hiding is that the person who hid the treasure was gay?? I don't even have anything to say about it really. That was such a bad reveal to me that I couldn't let it go. I get that times change in history, but that being the source of trauma for everyone was sort of silly considering almost EVERY character in this book with dialogue is gay!
In addition to that, Harper and Eve are so deeply in love after a week of trying to solve a mystery? When Eve gave her speech about how hard it was to let Harper go because she secretly loved her I had to roll my eyes.
This story was just silly in a way that annoyed me, but I can understand why people like it. I fear I need to let the treasure hunting romances go for good lol.
