The writing style wasn't working for me. It tried to be lyrical, particularly when it was voicing the inner thoughts of the main characters. I also found the characters to be incredibly flat. Arjun in particular has to be one of the worst main characters I've read in a while. Lastly, I felt like the premise took a back seat to the character issues. Felt like some ideas were underdeveloped, or more likely, the author was trying to tell a different story than I wanted.

I appreciate the unique premise, but life is too short to force yourself to finish books you aren't enjoying.
