A fine introduction to important figures in our history, seemingly well researched and easy to read. Definitely an introduction into the topic but phrasing and focusing seemed off.

The focus should have been on who the people were and not what their genitals were which felt unnecessary and incredibly uncomfortable. Whilst it can be difficult to understand how someone identified without their own written communication or second person narratives I felt as though there was a consistency in misgendering which ultimately lowered the book in my opinion.
