My Sister is Missing by Carissa Ann Lynch

Monsters beget monsters.
Carissa Ann Lynch wrote a book that is the very definition of the phrase “compelling thriller” as this psychologically tormented story line is woven with some complex and intriguing characters. Lynch wrote her characters, settings and situations in such a realistic manner you can truly imagine the horror.

Everyone I love has a secret. Secrets I wish I never knew.
As good as the plot is, somehow the ending is even better, and I enjoyed the second half of the book so much more than the first. It’s impossible to not question your sanity at least a few times throughout this book because just as you start to think you have a handle on where the author is taking you something comes out of left field shoving your understanding back to square one. It’s a very fast paced novel and a short one at that, but don't let the size fool you!

Memories don’t live in walls – they live inside the people who dwell there.
Even though there are themes here that any fan of thrillers will find are similar to pretty much everything else in this genre, you shouldn’t give it a pass because Lynch has a way of gripping your attention with her chilling writing.

Thank you NetGalley, Harper Impulse, Killer Reads and Carissa Ann Lynch for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an impartial review; all opinions are my own.
