I was lucky enough to recieve an ARC of Peaches & Honey in exchange for an honest review.

This book gave me strong Addie LaRue vibes which I do believe was the whole purpose.

Anne is a woman from the medieval age with vitilligo who is shunned from society - cause middle ages 🧙‍♀️ - and goes off to live as a hermit. Her life however will go on indefinitely ever since a stranger offered her a tāo (peach-like-immortality-granting-fruit)

What I really loved about this book is that even though it does follow through another a woman going ageless through the years its a completely new exploration of what it truly would be to be imortal with a different personality and morals as Addie. Anne’s journey is one where she must learn to truly live.

I persoanlly related more to Anne’s struggles and internal issues that felt surprisingly intimate to my own thought and problems. This resulted in a book that was both comforting in it’s character growth and uncomfortable in what it forced me to go through in my own mind.

There will be a book 2 that I am exhilirated by and will be reading happily to see the continuation of Anne’s story ♥️
