An author once told me that it’s better to give a compliment sandwich than just all negative or positive. This is a new to me author who reached out for me to read the first book in the series. I was sometimes lost within the story because I would put it down and have to read a few pages back to refresh what I had previously read.
I was lost when Nicole would refer to Raphael as De’Angelo or vice versa, it may be a me problem, but I dislike it when authors don’t stick with one name for a character. Nicole is a strong FMC that will do anything to keep herself from being brought down by the men in her life, and she can definitely hold her own when it comes to the men in her life. This does end on a cliffhanger. I enjoyed this book very much; I will read the rest of the series when I have time.
