Every Waking Hour by Joanna Schaffhausen

Okay, so it took me some time to write this review....simply because I needed time to digest.

Wow. Why do good books always end on a cliffhanger. I must know if there is a continuation to the series, because in my opinion, there absolutely must be!

The mystery of missing 12-year-old Chloe Lockhart was nail-biting to say the least. As more secrets were revealed and suspicions were cast about from left to right, I have to say that I was barking up the wrong tree. I was in awe of the grand reveal as I did not see it coming. Truly a hallmark of a good book if I do say so myself!

I shed a few tears too many, reading through the trials and tribulations of Ellery and Reed’s relationship. I cannot begin to fathom the trauma that must come with being a victim of a violent crime and how that can leech into all of your relationships (family and otherwise). The writing is very genuine and allows you to connect well with both Ellery and Reed and the frustrations they feel.

All in all, a well written mystery! Will be keeping my eyes open for any future installments! *fingers crossed*
