Howl for the Gargoyle by Kathryn Moon
3.5
dark emotional funny mysterious medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Complicated
Diverse cast of characters: Complicated
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

A musician on the brink of stardom has her life turned upside down when
she is transformed into a werewolf without her permission
. While the local police in her Monster community have mostly given up the search, she lives with
the trauma of what happened and having to sequester herself every full moon to avoid hurting anyone else. Leading up to every full moon she gets super horny but usually spends the full moon alone since no sexual partner can keep up with her without getting seriously hurt.
Until she hears about a service from the Monster Smash sex worker agency that will grant her the chance to find the release she craves with someone she can't hurt or break.

The book is Howl for the Gargoyle the second book in the Monster Smash Agency series by Kathryn Moon. These stories focus on a ragtag group of monsters who are sex workers in Chicago. If you're like me and you enjoy a story where you get to see the main characters live life together beyond the bedroom and you enjoy a FMC with grit and a himbo MMC then this is the story for you. I rated it a 7/10.

The FMC just wasn't my favourite and some of the world building towards the end of the story wasn't the best. Also the story uses my least fave trope:
miscommunication
. But the book is very sweet and has more depth to it than Games with the Orc the first book in this series!
