City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare
5.0
The last and final book in the Mortal Instruments series, and it’s action packed. The Dark War that is run by Sebastian Morgenstern, Valentine’s son, has arrived and it up to the Shadowhunters who haven’t been turned into the Endarkened by Sebastian to stop it. From start to finish action is happening throughout the book. Characters lives take turns that readers don’t see coming, but in the end it’s all worth it. A new realm is introduced, the demon realm where new characters are introduced. A lot of new characters have been introduced in this book, but not to fear, Clare is writing a new series about these new characters for readers to fall in love with. As much as the characters here are loved, it’s time to say goodbye, and Clare did a good job of tying all the loose ends together, she even tied in her series, the prequel to these books, the Infernal Devices in this book making it an extra ordinary finish. Overall, a well crafted series, with well-rounded characters that readers will always love.
