Review:
Story: This story came in hot from the very beginning. With the cover, I was expecting a very cheesy wholesome story. I wasn't expecting it to be an episode of Criminal Minds with a romantic undertone. It's told in two points of view. It's completely rare for me to get sucked into the story from the very beginning. Usually it takes me a couple of chapters to really get into it. This one is one of the rare ones. If I didn't have such a busy schedule, I'd of probably read it all in one sitting. I'd definitely read it again a few more times.
Characters: Mia is a psychologist. She experienced a traumatic event. She chose to help people who have been through similar things as her way of healing. Easton is former military. He runs a training course and has been contracted by the military to run soldiers through this course. Both of these characters are tough and fierce, but they are also vulnerable in their own way.
Critiques: I really think the cover should be reconsidered. You look at the cover and see something sweet and relaxed. It's a bit misleading. I know they say that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but the cover should at least give you an idea of what you're going into.
Narration: I listened to the rest of this in audiobook. I found that it was on Kindle Unlimited to read and listen to. I took advantage. The narration was pretty amazing. I may listen to the whole thing the next time I read this book.
Final Thoughts: I really enjoyed this story very much. I felt like I was reading an episode of criminal minds that had a bit of romance and spice in it. I stress a bit. There's not really a lot in there. The main focus of the book is the attacks that keep happening and finding out who is responsible. I absolutely love that. It's the reason I will read this book again. It's also the reason that I fully recommend it.
