Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez

5.0

Justin and Emma met online when his Reddit post about his dating 'curse' goes viral. Every woman he dates finds her soulmate after they break up. Emma has the same problem so she slides into his DMs and they come up with a solution to break the curse. Date each other and break up and the curses will cancel each other out. 4 dates, a summer fling, a predetermined breakup....what could go wrong?

I love Abby's storytelling and this book was just incredible. I love the intentional research Abby does to accurately portray mental health struggles in a sensitive but genuine way. I loved the dual POV, the character growth, the found family, and all of the side characters. Justin and Emma's relationship was just so sweet and you gotta love Justin's intentionality with all of their dates. There were a few twists/realizations I definitely didn't see coming and my mouth literally dropped open at one point. I laughed, I cried, I had a wonderful time reading. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
