The Ingenious Mr Pyke: Inventor, Fugitive, Spy by Henry Hemming

4.0

This was about a truly amazing guy, but the book as a whole was weakened by some annoying writing ("the manure buzzed up around them" REALLY?) and a kind of manic obsession with whether the guy was a Communist or not. Sigh. But this guy had a mind that just didn't work like everyone else's---fascinating.
