Frozen by Meljean Brook

Enjoyable novella with a Nordic Mythological twist. It would be a great start to a new series but from Meljean Brook's website this is a one off which is a shame really.

Olivia and Erik are strong protagonists with a strong moral code that is being over written by a thousand year old curse.

Throughout the story I was mentally screaming for them to talk to each other and find out their true feelings but that would have made for a very short book indeed! They are obviously in love with each other and been so for 18 months but both too scared or reluctant to do anything about it for VERY different reasons. Olivia seems scared of rejection whilst Erik has this pesky curse over his head and afraid he'll hurt/kill Olivia.

Very much worth picking up as it was a really good read.
