More memoir than the nonfiction I expected, but that turned out to be a good thing. In a way this felt like reading about the life I could've had, where I didn't question my faith early on, and it only exacerbated my insecurities. The church is a strange place for a girl to grow up, so it was very interesting reading about Omer's conversion as a teenager. I wonder how many people this book will resonate with or challenge.
