How to Be Drawn by Terrance Hayes

5.0

I honestly have no idea what I read-- then again, I've never been that big on digging meanings out of things. There was something bigger-than-the-universe to Hayes' words while being utterly basic. His words felt like mine in some sort of shared breath, as if he had taken them and made art out of them. Then there were other words and portraits of which I knew nothing about, black-and-white racism, black Brothers and Sisters, a history of slavery and oppression that still silently leaches through. I don't know o3o
