I...don’t know what to do with myself after this. Definitely the kind of book where you feel you yourself went into battle and experienced all the hell that came with it.

I just love all the Filipino references from this series, from the food, the mano po, the migration of commonfolk to find a better life, and the reference to the bakunawa. Villoso didn’t call them by name, but I totally knew what she was talking about.
