When I was warned things were going to turn dark, I didn't anticipate how dark. Had me on the edge of my seat, and the ending!! I guess it will only get darker from here. And yet the dialogue was still so funny. I don't know how Landy makes that work, but it does wonders for the mood while reading increasingly horror-adjacent fiction.
