The Summer Girl by Jenny Blackhurst
4.0
This is the second book I've read from this author and I must admit I didn't enjoy it as much as the first book from this author! But at the same time I did enjoy the book in most parts. The book centres on Claire and her look for her missing sister holly who sends a text message that she can't have sent to the words it entails. It was quite predictable how Claire as well as her sister seems to fall for the slayton boys charms and I did have empathy for the people in this book. I did feel the ending could have been a little better and I did find it ended the way I thought it was going to end so it didn't have me truly gripped yet it's a good book by an amazing author. I would recommend this book but I wouldn't personally place it within my group of favourite reads.
