I can't give it five stars because I cried too much at the end and it got boring in the middle there. but good God, what a book. it was a rollercoaster and a lazy canoe ride all in one go. Tartt is such an excellent writer and I want to read it again and again and again and relish in the aesthetic and the friendship and reflect over the lessons and quotes and I know there's so much more to be found in the book. it felt like home and also a weird fever dream I never want to experience again. behold, the unsexiest orgy of the century.
