Finding Heart by Tiffani Lynn
5.0
Oh my word this is even better than the first book was. If you're anything like me you will need one huge box of tissues to read this. I cried so many times I thought I would run out of tears.
Marina and Jasen knew (and secretly) cared for each other as youngsters in care, so this is a little bit of a second chance romance. I thought Jasen would be the broken and damaged character but boy it was Marina who broke my heart and had me blubbering repeatedly with how scarred she was inside.
Marina comes across as flighty and a little naive at first but you soon realise what a very strong person she is to have survived her circumstances for so long. Jasen has cut himself of emotionally from life and as a result adds to Marina's pain. There were so many ups and downs for this couple but the plot never felt repetitive.
I loved this story, it really pulled at my emotions and battered me but also gave me hope. The plot was really well thought through and interesting and it had a few sub-plots that added extra depth. The main, and supporting characters, were so detailed that they felt like real people. The writing is excellent, the story flows well and has a good pace to it and it kept me engaged from the very first page to the last.
The whole book is full of believable characters and situations and is a truly wonderful story of growth and love.
