Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents by Isabel Wilkerson

4.0

This was a great, informative audiobook. All of Isabel's stories continued to paint the picture of race in America and also make comparisons between the caste system between here and in Germany. After the war ended, Nazi's were not memorialized or praised for their sacrifices but the oppressed were given monuments and museums to honor their suffering. How different America would be if the confederates were punished rather than allowed into society to uphold their white supremacist views in positions such as judges, politicians, officers, etc. This was quite a long read but worth it.
