Part memoir, part practical guide for dealing with pay disparity and achieving equal pay in your organization, this is Carrie Gracie's account of how she challenged the BBC after she discovered they were not paying her equally to her male counterparts. It's a story that played out across the papers, but here you get to hear Gracie's own experience and her reasoning for continuing to push for increased pay equality across the BBC. Though it does go on sometimes (it could definitely have used a little bit of an editorial trim), it's an important book to read - especially people who believe that women being paid less can't be challenged. Gracie has proved that it can - and should be.
