i saw someone say this book is about learning how to love & allow yourself to be loved, that sentiment perfectly in captures this book. after a very traumatizing incident on the ice, rhys is trying to do his best to recover both physically and mentally. every time he tries to practice tho, he gets a panic attack. in comes this very headstrong fiery figure skater, sadie. she happens to have been training at the same time that Reese has been going to the rink and one day she catches him mid panic attack. from there, rhys starts to depend on her because she’s the only thing that makes sense to him. meanwhile, sadie’s trying to keep her distance but she feels this magnetic pull to him. overtime rhys starts to learn what love really is and he starts to show that to Sadie. we get this back-and-forth struggle of sadie trying to let herself not only be loved but taken care of too. she’s afraid tho because she’s always had to be that for other people.
i don’t know...there’s something about this book is so magical. it’s SO freaking beautiful that it brought me to tears at some moments.
