I’ve read every New England Bay Sharks book up until now. I’ve absolutely loved all the other characters but these two I’m not sure about. I feel like Saylor needed more time to grow on her own but for the purposes of keeping a tight timeline on the story I understand. I felt like I couldn’t connect much to the story. A bit of the verbiage was kind of cringe like “ginormous willy”. I wanted to love the story and I did towards the end. I love that she had someone showing up for her. She had someone showing her how they felt instead of just using words. The conflict felt built up and when it was reveal it felt childish almost. Not the conflict itself but how it was brought to her attention. I did enjoy everything that happened in the last few chapters and epilogue. I loved watching Saylor try to figure herself out. I just felt a bit of a disconnect with the story and I didn’t feel the emotions involved.
