This was a rough retelling, very valid in the sense that many woman suffered from violence, but doesn't mean it was enjoyable to read. I liked the idea of both Macbeths having occult powers but roscille's abilities weren't not clearly explained and made it hard to understand what she could do. I also didn't really care for her having a relationship with lisander and his curse was kind of random. generally the book was kind of confusing and random
