I was a little unsure about this book. I was really excited, and then a couple people told me it sounded lame and that it wasn't very good... and that made me more weary of it.

I ended up enjoying it so much, though. It was a lot different from the books I've been reading lately. It wasn't super-incredibly complex, magic being thrown at you any possible way, or overly romance-y. It was nice, calmly plotted, and a book about exploration, both within the self and exploring the world.

I liked it and I'll continue the series.
