It was alright but not really what I was expecting. The beginning had me worried, but it got much better. I enjoyed the descriptions of forms of sentience beyond the human. I didn’t entirely vibe with the main character bc she’s very white British lady, but she wasn’t all bad. Her backstory was powerful and it was cool watching her grow.
I liked that the main conflict centered around environmentalism, but I would have liked to see more into perspectives of native Ibizans vs tourists or past colonizers, bc I imagine there’s a story there.
