I Would Leave Me If I Could: A Collection of Poetry by Halsey

3.0

It always amazes me how powerful poetry can be and how so few words can evoke so many emotions.

I thought starting with “Due Date” set the tone perfectly. Although, reading “Lighthouse” and “Painter” back to back left me with a feeling I was not prepared for.

Honestly, this collection is messy, poorly sequenced at times, and full of chaos and trauma (& some explicit content, which might not be for everyone), BUT I’d say it is still worth the read.

Two of my favorites were “Everything” & “Fun Girl”.
